Work in The Legist’s house July 7 – 17

During the period 7-17 July we will begin measuring and documenting the floor in the The Legist’s house.

Therefore, we will now carry out measuring and drawing the floor as part of the further conservation work. In connection with this, the Lagmannsstova will be partially closed. It will not be possible to enter the room while the work is underway, but it will still be possible to look in from the doorway. 

Last year, two floorboards in the upper floor were lifted due to floor deflection. At that time, an older floor was uncovered underneath. Before the upper floor can be dismantled, it is important to document it thoroughly.
